My dad gave it that name because when I was a kid he used to entertain me and my sister by marching around the house with it and repeatedly saying "doot doot." Love this list but you forgot to add the uses you get from the cardboard roll inside the paper towels--such as using it to vacuum beneath the refrigerator, use it as a play sword with kids, cut it up and use it as a cat toy, use it to keep fragile things from shifting in packages, etc. I liked the lumbar pillow idea--I've used that one!
