I really enjoyed this post despite the fact that the Dodgers are a bad word down here in San Diego.

Maybe next time you can write how being a fan through the good and (really) bad times relates to personal finance? I'm not sure how it does off the top of my head but there's got to be a good ending to the story.

Love the analogy. I think that when you have a mind that is highly sensitized towards money management, you'll see the principles of finance in almost anything ;) . I am not a big sports fan, but I can relate to all these lessons. I like #1: take advantage of opportunities as they present themselves. Too often, we let a lot of good opportunities slip by -- many times, because we are uncomfortable with change (perhaps). But in my experience, change has been good and makes you stretch beyond your comfort zone. When you get challenged, you are able to grow and you can further develop your potential.

Bucksome: The poor Padres have really had a tough time lately. Hopefully, they can turn it around soon. Just not so much so that they are able to overtake the Dodgers! :-)
